Just Because

From the Land of the Long, White Cloud

A couple of my favourite pics from the recent trip to New Zealand’s breathtaking (no other cliche will suffice 🙂 ) South Island.

This is Lake Wakatipu, the largest lake in the South Island, 8 kilometres long and bordered by long and winding roads. Worth every white-knuckled minute borne by this vertigo victim.

This second picture is of a field of lupins where the coach stopped on the way to Milford Sound from Queenstown

I'm a research fellow at an Australian university where I work on a number of projects. These include projects to do with new media and migration and the Chinese diaspora in Australia, projects on the Malaysian internet, ethno-religious issues in Singapore and Malaysia. And, before I forget many of the photos I use on this site were taken by my sister, Jessie and myself. All rights are reserved.
