I found this today via Tommy Emmanuel’s interview on The Strand broadcast by the BBC World Service online. So, a convoluted discovery typical of my relationship with the internet. Still, I love it, for its quiet and memorable melody and tenderness. Here’s Joel’s version followed by Emmanuel’s rendition. Something about the music helped me tune my errant head-space toward work that needed to be tackled.

And then a few clicks more and I found Billy Joel’s melancholy rendition.
